Mr. Antony Streveler, a colleague from the USA has visited GASW

Mr. Antony Streveler,  a colleague from  the USA has visited GASW.  Mr. Streveler is a Correctional Advisor of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) at the US Embassy to Georgia. He implements initiatives supporting Corrections and Probation system in Georgia. Mr. Streveler shared his interesting professional experience with GASW members, participating in the meeting. At the beginning of his professional career,  he worked with beneficiaries with mental problems being in conflict with a law.  Mr. Streveler shared with young social workers with his motivation in professional choice, his achievements and challenges during the fieldwork. He talked to Georgian colleagues about the motivating stories on professional contribution in positive changes for the society. For young social workers, it was interesting to get familiar with the challenges that the profession is facing in the USA and the ways of their overcoming. They were very pleased to meet such an experienced colleague.
