Project Title: Support of social inclusion of youth with disabilities in Georgia. Within the frames of this project, in 2017, GASW has been implementing the component of supporting strengthening of public schools.

Project Goal: to contribute to improving the quality of life and social inclusion of youth with disabilities in Georgia through inclusive education and support of employment in the labor market. The project outcome is to achieve strengthened involvement of youth with disabilities in the education process and in the labor market through increased capacities and effective co-operation by the relevant institutions, and putting into practice innovative methods and means of support for effective social inclusion.

The goal of the component of strengthening public schools is the following:
Increasing the level of integration of target group students in school, meeting their and their families’ psychosocial needs and supporting development of positive environment at pilot schools.

Project Objectives:

  • The capacities and co-operation of both state and non-state institutions providing support and services to youth with disabilities in education and in employment are increased;
  • The inclusion of youth with disabilities in both formal and informal education is strengthened;
  • The capabilities of youth with disabilities to become involved in the labour market are strengthened.

Project Title:
United Voice For Children 

Project Goal: 
Contributing to increased child well-being in the wider Black Sea region through stregthening civil society

Project Objectives:

 

  •  Increasing  the impact of national coalitions by introducing minimum operational standards, increasing visibility and building stable long-term funding;
  •  Introducing national child protection indices which are fed by data from other Black Sea project countries and therefore enable comparison of government progress on child protection reform on a regional level
  • Building policy debates on the index results for advocacy and political discourse;
  • Enabling ChildPact and national coalition to make use of their synergies to advocate effectively for child protection on national and regional levels.
