Within the framework of the project “Improving Health and Social Care Accessibility for People with Disabilities” of the Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia, GASW staff members, Natalia Bedianishvili and the Association Chairperson Nino Shatberashvili met the representatives of organizations, working with people with disabilities in Kakheti region. Project manager, Tamar Kurtanidze and Naira Kutateladze, representative of the partner organization “Georgian Bioethics Society“ attended .
The meeting participants were informed about the project activities and patients’ rights protection hotline. The goal of the meeting was to enable organizations, working with persons with disabilities, to share their experience of successful work with each other; outline the hindering factors and discuss the ways of their elimination and the importance of inter-agency cooperation for provision of quality services for people with disabilities residing in Kakheti region.
The meeting was found to be useful for informational exchange among the organizations, supporting people with disabilities in Kakheti region. Conducting of a similar meeting is planned in October in Samegrelo.
