On September 9, meeting of the founders and honorary members was held in the Association. The meeting was attended by the Association current Chairperson – Nino Shatberashvili, members of the board – Salome Namicheishvili, Natia Partskhaladze, Shorena Sadzaglishvili, Marina Ushveridze, and by the Association member – Maguli Shagzashvili.
The goal of the meeting was to discuss the role of social workers in Georgia. Participants discussed the role and functions of social workers, their achievements, challenges they are facing; future trends in the profession development and how the Association can contribute to its development.
Such meetings are important for enabling profession representatives, who have played a distinguished role in establishing and development of the social work profession in Georgia, to share their vision on current situation and carefully think over the future steps for development and perfection of the profession.
