On November 29th, GASW hosted a round-table for SSA senior social workers and social workers working in the field of mental health.
The goal of the meeting was to create an avenue for a dialog between mental health social workers and SSA social workers on practical matters and challenges they face on a daily basis and to seek solutions in order to support the well-being of beneficiaries. Twelve individuals participated in the meeting. Mental health social workers outlined their services and spoke about the difficulties they face in helping their beneficiaries recover. Tbilisi and Mtskheta-Mtianeti senior social workers, from their side, shared with their experiences and challenges related to beneficiaries with mental health issues. The meeting was highly productive as both sides exchanged very valuable information. Moreover, to further support the welfare of beneficiaries, next steps aimed at strengthening collaboration between SSA and mental health service providers were planned through GASW leadership.
