Meeting with a topic “Never Violence!”, organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden, Swedish Institute and the “Save the Children” was held in the capital of Sweden, Stockholm, on 28.11 – 01.12. 2017. GASW founder and member of the Board, Natia Partskhaladze has participated in this event, which was dedicated to the abolition of corporal punishment. The ways and difficulties of establishing positive methods of child upbringing and non-violent environment in Sweden and participating countries were discussed during the visit.
Information, printed materials and online resources, provided by the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs of Sweden, the Office of Child’s Ombudsmen, “Save the Children” Child’s Rights Protection Society (BRIS), “Child’s House (BARNAHUS) and other services will assist GASW and organizations working on child protection issues, in abolishing of corporal punishment and introducing of the services needed for advocacy.
