On March 7th, Georgian Association of Social Workers conducted a consultation meeting for the organizations interested in the participation in the call for applications within the frames of the project “Social Workers in Collaboration for Social Change in Eastern Neighborhood Countries”.
The meeting was attended by the non-governmental organizations working in Georgia.
The representatives of the organizations had interesting questions to ask. The meeting was also a good opportunity to share information between the attending organizations. This meeting was the last among the information meetings organized by GASW for the organizations participating in the call. Next week all the questions asked by the colleagues at information meetings and/or telephone conversations, as well as relevant answers provided will be uploaded to our website. The project “Social Workers In Collaboration for Social Change in Eastern Neighborhood Countries” is funded by the European Union and the Austrian Development Cooperation and implemented by Hilfswerk Austria International (HWA) in cooperation with four local partners, the Georgian Association of Social Workers (GASW), the Armenian Association of Social Workers (AASW), the Azerbaijan Social Work Public Union (ASWPU) and the Nursing Association of the Republic of Moldova (NARM).
The main objective of the Call for Applications is to support local CSOs to engage in social reforms and contribute to social protection and family preservation practice, particularly, the family strengthening component, through social work practice, increased community participation and inter-agency, inter-system and/or inter-disciplinary partnership.
