Natia Partskhaladze has 15 years of experience in the field of child and social protection systems, alternative care and social service workforce strengthening, at both the policy and programming levels. She is a co-founder and a Board Member of the Georgian Association of Social Workers and served as a President of GASW in 2014-2015.
Natia has worked for UNICEF Georgia and UNICEF Regional Office for Central and Eastern Europe and Commonwealth of Independent States in Geneva for almost 10 years and has contributed towards reforming child care system in Georgia and strengthening of alternative care system and social work profession in Georgia and other countries of the Region. She has played an important role in introducing social work academic education in Georgia. On a voluntary basis Natia serves as a Steering Committee Member and a Deputy Chair of the Global Social Service Workforce Alliance.
Partskhaladze has a proven track record of providing strategic support to the government partners in Georgia and other countries of CE/CIS Region in developing and implementing sustainable programmes and policies to reach highly vulnerable groups. Currently Natia serves as an independent expert and teaches social work courses at Tbilisi State University.
Natia earned medical, policy and social work degrees from the leading universities in the Georgia, Hungary and USA. Currently she is working on PhD research on the Quality of Life of Deinstitutionalized Children.
